Suppression

pic taken at Hanoi railway station - midnite train

When suddenly
Light seems so dark,
Life seems so plain,
Heart seems so fragile,
And everything been out of place,
I have no place to turn to,
GOD..r u really listening to my prayers?

Lupakan

pict taken at Setapak after sunset where the skies are the bluest ever.

Ada kalanya peristiwa silam sungguh menyakitkan,
Ada kalanya ukiran pahit masih di situ,
Lebih aku melawan, lebih sukar untuk kulupakan,
Merumitkan dan hanya membuat ku buntu.

Alunan kisah yang memedihkan,
Hanya air mata menjadi saksi,
Ikatan yang merantai sempadan,
Biarlah cepat alam ini bersilih ganti.

Moment of Inspiration, Save Lifes with Early Detection

Hey you..yes you.. Does it ever strike in your mind that what if one day you get to know that your loved ones has been diagnosed with breast cancer and it’s already too late? And that’s hope is gone, all you could afford to do was to blame yourself and keep asking ‘why her?’ The suffering, the pain, the agony that she is going through, and all that moment of silence that was running in her mind, how you wish if you could trade all that with one simple note to God as replacement?

This year Wijaya International Medical Centre is again collaborating with Pink Ribbon Deeds, better known as PRIDE to bring you Paint Your Blog Pink 2! The only thing that has changed is the theme for this year, “Minutes for A Lifetime”.

Wijaya International Medical Centre are proud to involve the Malaysian Bloggosphere to deliver their insights on the matter of Breast Cancer awareness and detection. Their commitment to healthcare is not only towards the treatment of cancer but more importantly, a few minutes of clinical breast exam or a mammography each year will make that significant difference in your life and / or the lives of your loved ones.

When it comes to asking one about what is the most important and precious gift that they ever received in their life, little that we realized that the LIFE itself is a priceless gift.

Model of the photograph above has given her consent and it is only to promote the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign -Minutes 4 A lifetime.

Do you part to save your own life or someone else life. Each person have their own personal struggle, don’t ever let that fails you. Always remember, you are not alone. There will be hope as long as you willing to help us help YOU. Don't Suffer In Silence, talk to someone or get medical treatment. Breast cancer knows NO one, age, status or even race. It attack like a silent alarm and every woman are in risk if they ignore about the changes in their own body. ignorance is not blissful after all.

[Why You Need To Know About Breast Cancer Symptoms] Breast cancer begins in a cell, which divides and multiplies at an uncontrolled rate. A small clump of cancer cells are too tiny to be felt, so the earliest stages of breast cancer usually have no symptoms. A mammogram can detect cancer before you can feel a lump, which is why your annual screening mammogram is so important. Some benign breast conditions can seem like cancer, so it’s good to know the difference, and get a health professional to check out worrisome lumps.

[Understanding Symptoms] The classic symptom for breast cancer is a lump found in the breast or armpit. An aggressive type of this disease, inflammatory breast cancer (IBC), grows in sheets of tumor cells that invade the skin and resembles a rash. Doing your monthly breast self-exam (BSE) is a great way to be familiar with your breasts’ texture, cyclical changes, size, and skin condition. Early detection is the best way to protect your health and improve your odds of survival. Don’t hesitate to see your doctor or nurse for a clinical breast exam (CBE) if you have a question about a change in your breasts.

Stand Up 4 Pink, Stand Up 4 The Love of Ur Life

So ladies, what are you waiting for? Dont just stare there and talk about it. Go and get urself checked now. For every men out there, do your part, bring your wife, gf, mother, sister and your loved ones for a check up immediately. It's takes just minutes to save a lifetime, so dont waste this precious gift from GOD. I know i did. I get myself checked annually since 3 years ago. You should too.

Unethical Contest Organizer by Sony Music and TM

2 Aug 09- I was delighted that my artwork was shortlisted. even though my artwork was not chosen as Lenka's favorite during her showcase happening at 1 Utama earlier this afternoon but at least it shall be done fairly. No..im not blaming her...beauty in the eyes of the beholder so it was the contest mechanics by unethical organizer like Sony Music and TM /Hypp.tv that i wasnt so pleased. I want my artwork back! and please honour the rest of the shortlisted entry as stated in the terms n condition of the contest.

And this was my letter to them...
To whom it may concern,

My name is Devi and I would like to highlight my dissatisfaction on the mechanics for Best Artwork contest featuring Lenka.

First of all, it was clearly stated in the Star (as attached) that only 4 entries will be shortlisted but the closing date of submission was on 27 july 2009. On the same occasion, there will be a voting system for the shortlisted entries via the website at http://www.hypp.tv/ . 6 entries were uploaded in http://www.hypp.tv/ after the closing date (28 july 2009) but eventually the contest was later extended to 29 july 2009. On 31 july 2009, i noticed that the 7th entry was uploaded out of the sudden. My question is, is it ethical for renowned brand and partner like yourself to actually accept entry that was sent after the closing date? Would it be fair to those that has work hard to finish up their artwork and sent in earlier, on or before the closing date? I personally feel that the last entry supposed to be disqualified as it doesn’t meet the terms and condition (tnc) It’s not only unfair but how such unprofessionalism decision was made by big company like yourself?

Kindly check all the angst by the artistes themselves /concern parents and even the public on the rules of the contest in the ShoutMix at http://lenka.hypp.tv/ . I am writing to you as a representative to the rest that not only felt ‘cheated’ but unappreciated as well. I do hope the same situation shouldn’t be repeated as this is not only ruining your reputation as so called well-to-known brands but we really has started to lose confident on your signature branding.

Last but not least, thank you for short listing my art work for the preliminary round. But sadly enough that after the winner was chosen by Lenka herself, don’t the organizer supposed to also reward the three runners up as stated in the contest tnc. Unfortunately, I have to personally approach one of your Sony staff and request for my ‘prize’. Which I find it’s rather disturbing and equally inconvenient. I am pretty sure the other ‘artiste’ went back home not only devastated and disappointed but empty handed as well. I don’t mind if every entry was submitted as per requirement as art is sumthing subjective. So what if the last entry was nice and was chosen by Lenka, the fact it was not meet the requirement , the entry was not supposed to be there in the first place.

I am requesting for some feedback regarding the above-said matter and what are your next actions or advice for those artistes that was not rewarded as promised? Are you going to honour their hard work?
You are pleased to drop your input by replying this email or at my blog as well at http://www.devidalildevilphotography.blogspot.com/
Yours sincerely,

Devi

Oh ya..i m sure they will give a lot of 'excuses' on the late entry submitted that it was received earlier but uploaded after the closing date or it was the management discretion on the contest mechanics without any notifications and what not. please enough of lame excuses ok? Did Lenka ever know about this matter ? i doubt so.

And since I am such an emo piece of paper art right now..so there u goes....a picture of the Lenka at the showcase earlier this afternoon.

I want my artwork back! just enjoy the show...

Save our Rainforest - Speak Up Malaysia [DiGI]

I was born and bred in a breathtaking land covered with rainforest. And I love the way my parents raised me in an environment where we manage to express our feeling and love with nature freely. Waking up in the morning where the morning mist ooze your bones and spine, bird chirping melodically, the trees dancing so gracefully as the sun illuminates my humble hometown, it was the perfect moment blissfully. My childhood surrounded with much fascination towards camping in the jungle, playing ‘tarzan’ with the tree branches, pulling that tapioca from the root to be boiled and later sprinkle with sugar for tea break delicacies, fishing using bamboo sticks with my late grandma, picnic while enjoying the waterfall, experienced face to face with wild boar, monitor lizards, wild dogs, discovering weird-shaped plants and the list could go on and on. And as my curiosity running wild, I eventually get out from my cocoon and started to explore around other states in Malaysia. That was how my passion for travelling started. But sadly enough, our rainforest are dying through pollution, open burning, illegal hunting of wild and exotic animals. We need to put this entire ‘hurting’ a stop before it’s too late.

Endau Rompin Selai Rainforest. The mesmerizing ray of sunlight penetrating between trees..wah...bliss**Such a beauty

A place where I could finally let go all my worries and piercing my soul with peace and positivity, I hope we could still Save our Rainforest for now and future.

In conjunction with the contest by Digi+Nuffnang on MMS Speak Up Malaysia , I would like to take this opportunity to express it my way. The piece of art that I created are fully from recycle items such as old newspapers/magazines and whateva junkie that I could get from my scrap collections.

I've been a faithful Digi user since dad bought for me my first handphone. No turning back. I WILL FOLLOW U. Okay, let's get into the project..draw a sketch of the tree on a transparent paperPlace it on top of any recycle coloured- hard cover of old magazines/greeting cards. Cut it out using a knife, CAREFULLY. kids-dont try this at all. get an adult to do it. or u may place ur order from me..kekekekePeel it off gentlyYou can even make a 3D pop up card for gifts/campaign or as a hobby like myselfCombine the 2 cut out trees gently voila-now it somewhat look like a tree - 3D version lahit cant stand by itself, so we need to stitch the bottom on to a base. same goes with real tree, they can only grow tall with proper nutrient and solid rootsumthing like this ..get it? since Love is a crucial part of life, I'm placing the "Tree of Love" for my treenow..let me see..we need some voice to it..so the signature logo of nuffnang should be great
Fit all those together ..oppss..not complete without any taglineSo, with great reception from Digi combine with a platform for expression by Nuffnang, hopefully the 'Tree of Love' will be protected and well reserved. [SAVE OUR RAINFOREST]

And don’t forget that we need our Rainforest in order to survive in this heinous world of destruction and development. Most of the flora and fauna are in the brink of extinction as their habitats are destroyed within split seconds. We certainly do not want our next generation to not know what is like to feel the ray of sunlight in between the standing trees at the deep jungle, the fresh and cool air while jungle trekking, the music of the jungle and what mysteries lies beneath of our Malaysian Rainforest. One example, it’s the haze and rising temperature especially around hustle and bustle city like Kuala Lumpur.

You may ask so how do we save our Rainforest? First, we can organize a trip to our beautiful RAINFOREST and indulge ourselves with the activities such as camping, cleaning and helping non-profit organisation on community services. Go green, plant more trees, stop / report any open burning, using recycle items for environment friendly so that they dont cut our trees for 1 matchbox stick. Dont go wild hunting for exotic animals and plants that in the brink of extinction. All this are useless, unless we start to get it going. So if you are thinking of lighting up another cigarette, stop at once. Start thinking about all the fascinating beauty of mother nature could offer and imagine breathing the fresh cool air..aaahhhh.

The illustrations of the unique world of Malaysia Rainforest are simply indescribable. So save it before all this are just left as piece of art for the next generation to smell, feel, touch or even see.

we dont want that to happen, dont we?

The Unrequited Heart

The end is near, while im facing my triumph moment,
it wasnt something i could bear, but this feeling of resentment,
folding me alive, as if im a non-existent.

Judgement never fail to be fair,
But i have my own flaws,
And i aint going to burst it on air,
Coz if i do, u may start to see my claws.
And things can just go nasty as a never ending war.
Let the unrequited heart find its healing
coz its not an option to be me....

I Love KFC Flava Roast

KFC -Kentucky Fried Chicken...it's finger lickin' good!
Kind, Fun, Cheerful
Why did I said that?

Kind because of their charity contribution to Tabung Penyayang KFC,Fun because of their variety favouring for family, teens and even kids (I love their chicky meal toys) Cheerful because their staff and KFC Colonel always look well… cheerful
To begin with..KFC has always been a part of us Malaysian since 36 years ago. How can you resist the crunchy, crispy, mouth watering fried chicken? And who does better than the founder himself, Colonel Harland Sanders? Ever since I was young, KFC has always held a special place in my heart. C’mon everyone, it has been a part of our life during those special occasions like birthdays, gathering, festive seasons, dating, hangout and time out alone too (hahaha). Even until today, this signature face of Colonel never fails to leave a lasting impression ranging from kids to even adults. I used to call him as KFC Uncle..hehehe

And as time evolve, there has been numerous exciting (and not to mention its finger lickin good!) new flava recipes was introduced. The latest being..(Please roll put the red carpet while the drum being played) :
Tempting seduction,
it’s an awakening phenomenon,
KFC’s latest introduction,
roasted with perfection,
jeng jeng jeng the KFC FLAVA ROAST..selection.
pergh..power!!! Bursting with Flavour

Psstt…in conjunction with their contest by Nuffnang and KFC, please feel free to visit their website for more info at: http://www.nuffnang.com.my/kfc-flava-roast/.

Let me revealed this exotic yummylicious secret and unlocked the mysterious recipe. Mind you that this exclusive KFC Flave roast are only available at certain outlets.. please click here for details of the location. So off I went to KFC JJ Alpha Angle yesterday night. Check this out..3 new variants that popping with flava. Aaaaaahhhhh….

Flava' Roast Burger..tender chicken fillet, sandwiched between 2 soft and warm buns with tasty pepper mayonnaise. The combination was bursting with flava!

Look at those cheezy baked potato, topped with jalapeno sauce, mayonnaise, cracked pepper and chopped spring onions. ooze with delight..It smells good too...yummylicious

Sorry..the temptation of the Flava Roast Wings was too much that i ate them on the way back home. GULP! Fret not, the pictures itself explain everything about the new flava recipe.

So I designed my ‘masterpiece’ using only RECYCLE items. FYI…while capturing this moment, its so irresistible not to munch those Flava Roast Burger and Roast Chicken Steak.

Cut out the love shape from an old notepadLet's paste their signature logo.. KFC Uncle face..heheheDont forget Colonel famous faceFinally my masterpiece is DONE..while enjoying creating this collage, my stomach already grumbling.Patient Devi, patient…… hrmmm.. My alter ego-Lil’ Devil is loving it too…it’s finger lickin’ good!Since the contest require some shots with the KFC flava roast..here are some snapshot..and yeah as equally tempting food and 1st prize to be offered..its bursting with flava already!oooo..Looks good, smells good and taste-indescribable..pure yummylicious Finally ...makan time...
So there you go guyz, since the secrets has been unlocked….
what are you waiting for?..quick head to the nearest KFC outlet listed, and enjoy the moment…at least I know ...I did.

MCDONALDS - HAVE YOU McValue Lunch-ed this Week?

Ever come across a time when you are in your moment of thoughts? Everything seems scattered around in your medulla oblongata (brain cells) at a time? I’m pretty darn sure each and one of us face this déjà-vu situation before. Yup..I had that last week on one fine Saturday afternoon. I was then at my lovely hometown, a place I called home, a paradise where I find peace after hectic and unsafe KL ignominy. Not that I against the people of KL, but seriously the crime news around us are getting hotter than a fully loaded cheesy burger sneaking out from the microwave oven.
Speaking of hot, you cant get better than the latest ‘summer’ season that are invading Malaysia right now. To top it off, even some HOT promotion offer by my almost famous fast food chain - MCDONALDS. My so called 'creative' mind was running out of battery and nevertheless I haven’t eaten anything since morning did diminish my operating system. So as I was still thinking, I realized few things in life that leave a lasting impression. Don’t u get it? Well you see, everyone is waiting to be crowned as the best, the tallest, the prettiest, the strongest and the list of proudest moment will go on and on. Ok, you all might think what on earth am I babbling..fret not…patience is virtue.

The Taiwanese proud of their tallest skyscraper in the world .the 101 Building.

I also realized about how the people of Manado proudly showing off their largest & tallest Jesus Christ statue in Southest Asia.
And oh ya, don’t forget about our very own favorite twins (not HK artiste trio lah) but our The Twin Tower, KLCC.
Then suddenly, I was distracted by this bright, smart looking yellow fellow. As he was smiling back at my Rebel, I asked my alter-ego, Lil devil…Have you McValue Lunch today?

Aaaaahhhhh…that was the moment when I realized how many McDonalds lovers actually give their sigh of relief and couldn’t be happier when they see their very own McDonalds Skyscraper. The big yellow M and plus point if its serve 24 hours. Standing proud 24 7 of your life, need to say more? I must admit that I did miss the chicken foldover that has been scrapped off from the menu. But that doesn’t stop me from having a quick bite that Saturday afternoon.

Everyone was queuing up to get their favorite VALUE MEAL from 12-3pm.

The moment was perfect…but I dunno why somehow I feel something is still missing..As I was scratching my non-itchy head…the image of a sleek, slim, elegant and timeless Apple iPhone was jumping around over a fence glaring the lights of symphony towards me…pick me! pick me! Then again over the edge of my mind, I was just smiling to myself how serious I want the Apple iPhone.

Hehehehe. So as I was queuing up, I asked this little cute gal – Have you McValue Lunch-ed today? Much to her amusement, she was just slightly shocked but at least she just nodded.

Happy stomach and value for money that perhaps I could save some cents for my dream of owning my very own Apple iphone in the near future. psst..there are contest going on (http://www.mymcd.com.my/bloggercontest/howtowin.html) and I do hope I'll be the proud owner of Apple iphone as my coming birthday gift..

But overall, MCdonalds is THE place coz I'm loving it...vibrant colours, WIFI access, great food with great companies, excellent customer service and best of all come with great value...what else you wanna asked for one fine Saturday afternoon?
My favorite meal.Add some french fries..oh wait...let me add some chilly sauce

Aaahhhh Look at those dripping mayonise and chilly sauce...and those salad is calling my name...

I left McD feeling contented.
Well..hope you guyz enjoy it too when u dine in at mcD! ..the size still the same..the only difference is that now its cheaper and taste better because of that! :)what are you waiting for..go and try it..12-3pm...DAILY!

The Great Escapade

~The Great Escapade~

Hrmmmm...this is good..i meant really interesting deal..Malaysia Airlines also fondly known as MAS has recently launched 9 smoking great deal –the MAS Stimulus Packages.
And as much as how everyone complaining that they need a great escapade, I couldn’t think of anyone else more deserving than the most important persons in my life..well to begin with, this is no Sound of Music family fiasco or singing DO Re Mi at the peak of mountain but we do have some share of fond memories and of course the same fascination about travelling...not to mention each family member’s level of tantrum that run smoothly in the genes. so just bear with the Viva’s family for probably few minutes of your precious lifetime.

With the MAS Stimulus Packages, my task has just turned easier few steps. I mean look at all these 9 specially custom-made for fellow crazy bunch of people like us. I shouldn’t have use the word crazy..i think insane are better..LOL. MAS also have a varied delicious meal onboard..yum yum..

Anyway, let’s get back to track. Wouldn’t want to get lost in the middle of an enchanting escapade, don’t we? Where were we, oh ya...back to track..

First and foremost (loud applause and the red carpet been rolled), my parents- appa, Mr Viva Vengdesh and amma, Mdm Vivian Chew Seng Ngo. Since they deserved all the best and better things in life, the Business Companion seem to fit the answer. They make the best Bonnie & Clyde (in a good cause) and amma has always been the best partner in crime for appa. Not as if they have done anything illegal but they have always been a great business companion, so with 1 full-fare Business Class ticket, getting another at 50% off will definitely keeping the budget within limit. City of love, Paris should be the one.

Next are bunch of rascals from these 2 beautiful peoples above-mentioned.

We have..hrmmm let me see..none other than a vain-pot, creative, popular, adventure-seeker and believe life is a journey of adventures..none other than the one and only...jeng jeng jeng...ME lah...who else. I’ll just take the MH Flexi 1+1. I’ll buy 1 and I could bring along my B for FREE..who says you need lots of money to go travel? Certain things are meant to be priceless...and i meant price-less. New Zealand here we come.

Moving along, my younger brother, Ronnie. Smart looking dude but hardly open his mouth..we believe the gold still hidden there. So search no more, Grab+Deal would definitely suit him. Eygpt or Cambodia might be on the list of destination.

Then we have Anand. The friendly type and get along with kids very well. I presume Kids Fly Free would be awesome for him. Not that he has any kids, but by buying 2 tickets (one for him and another for his gf), he can bring along 1 kid for FREE..Anyone’s kid...just kidding...hehehehe. Hong Kong Disneyland perhaps?

Next we have this sweet, pretty, feminine and seriously...a good cook, my sister, Ratha. The Premium Match would be the catch..why? Coz she likes everything to be posh and classy. So she could find any lower First Class or Business Class fare, and the good people in MAS will match the offer..sound simple, right? Spa and aromatherapy at Bali should kick the attitude.

The deal seems juicier and we definitely wouldn’t want stop just there coz the next person I’ll be introducing is another cracko in the family. The most talkative, smart and yet you can’t get enough of her sarcasm, (please play the Manchaster United’s theme song...was it Glory Glory) my other sister, Moly. Let’s give her the Economy+. She’s not only could enjoy her Business Class privileges and comfort with an Economy Class ticket, she could probably brag about it after coming back from an EPL match in Manchaster, London. I could slightly hear Moly swearing at me now..the most she will tell ..is her favourite animals on Animal Planet channel.

And finally we have this secretive, cute, gadgets lover and her fetish on Korean music band, TVXQ..presenting the youngest of the brats, Puspaa. So the Weekend Getaway would probably full fill one of her dream to rub shoulders with TVXQ in Korea. The package would be a weekend trip which good for her since she is still studying to any ASEAN country with surprisingly low fares. But first, prepare your passport first my dear.

Last but not the least, we could all (that include friends as well) always take the 80% off Domestic & ASEAN or even the BALIK KAMPUNG deal. That way we could still stay connected and annoy each other distinctively!

So what do you think? The MAS Stimulus Packages not only add some masala to a bland dish but it also another way of fun travelling with our loved ones. Who knows, the Great Escapade might be the next thing in your to-do list.

And at the end of the day, there is always a story to be told. After all, I am Devi da Lil Devil...(smirking with visible evil horn appearing on my head).

Secrets of Minahasa, North Sulawesi

[170409-190409] Making Air Asia as my favorite brand has permitted me to witness and explore some hidden secrets of the ASEAN world. That includes a lot of research that lead to a heck of an experience. The news about eruption and earthquake alert around Indonesia few days before has just raised my inquisitiveness level raise few steps higher.

I am on a mission to promote North Sulawesi because I believe the distinctive deep secrets, exotic delights and richness in nature are definitely going to add some spices to my life.

As I stepped my foot on the land of North Sulawesi, little did I thought it will be a VIP treatment escapade weekend. And as promised by Charlie (the owner of Highland Resort & Spa, Tomohon), he will try to make the best out of the 3D2N trip. I was searching high & low through online for homestay or guesthouse, then I found about Highland Resort & Spa, Tomohon. I manage to get really special and (I think) the best rate ever with the hospitality and friendliness given.

My only disappointment was unable to trek to the peak of Mount Lokon. The heavy downpour since we arrived and the unstable condition of the volcanic mountain that might be active anytime have deterred my enthusiasm…slightly…. But all that was alleviated by the following:

The staggering beauty of Tomohon (the city of flowers), the active volcanic Mount Lokon and Mount Mahawu that smoked its substance rebelliously, the distinctively changing colours of Lake Linow, witnessing the smallest monkey (Tarsius) in the world, stepping on a land where the soil are on top indentation, passing by the picturesque lust of greenery, discover the pitch dark Japanese cave, taste the best malabar, looking up at Asia's tallest statue of Jesus Christ, being welcomed by their friendly people, abundance heritage and culture is totally phenomenal.

The Farmer & A Breathtaking Countryside..

One of active volcanic mountain - Mount Lokon

Distinctive flowers ready to blossom

Happy Easter

Tomohon (aka City of Flowers)

Lake Linow (changing colours lake)

The Fishing Village

Asia's Tallest & 2nd Tallest in the World of Jesus Statue

The one & only Buddhist pagoda in Manado

The smallest monkey in the world, weight :117gm-134gm & 4-6 inch (15cm) in height [Tarsius]

Only at Minahasa Jungle Market (Saturdays morning) - dog, pig, pyhton, wild rats etc are for sale..to be cooked and eaten

The timeless solitude of Manado is surrounded by mountainous area that caressing each other passionately. The waving clouds are just a gesture of peace and tranquility. It also has an interesting history, where in 1844 earthquakes leveled the lands of Manado and the town was completed re-designed by the Dutch. Today its coastline is lined with shopping malls and the town is made up of a majority of the Minahasa ethnic group.

If you think Manado is only famous as one of the world’s top ten dive spot, think again…you might be missing more than you could imagine of. So what are you waiting for…make a space for yourself even for short weekend trips that definitely will leave you crave for more. Well, at least I know I did…

I would like to thank a bunch to Charlie, his staffs – Maikal, Alex, Modi, Uncle Fred, Alam Spa and the friendly people of Manado that make this trip an unforgettable journey!.

Part of IndoChina...

17-220209 Embarked on a journey that capture my heart deeply with the breathtaking contour of paddy fields, the innocent faces of young children blanketed by their warm dyed clothes, the soothing melody by the creature of the mountain, the cold air that kiss my cheeks in the morning of world natural heritage, the gigantic milestone protruding from the sea, the everlasting serene of tranquility and peace that pierce my soul so artistically that I feel my tears almost burst into cells of happiness. Honestly, it’s indescribable …I just felt it. I breathe the air of unimaginable guilt that I wish it would stay as long as it could. The reviving journey was so pleasant that surprisingly I wasn’t easily exhausted even though my running low stamina might just go poof anytime at the end of the village.

The breathtaking Sapa
Ta Van Village with Black H'mong tribes crossing the bridge

Hanoi City

Hanoi CityWorld Natural Heritage -Ha long BayFrom the peak view

It’s too beautiful with the cool fresh weather, the smiling peach tree flaunt proudly, the bubbly running piglets, the hypnotizing image was surreal that I really have to blink my eyes and pinch myself…is this what the tribe of H’mong been seeing every single day in their life the minute they woke up from sleep? Well..for them it could be just another day but for me it another day in paradise. But of course all this natural beauty sometime are swept away by the poverty and the way of life over here. Coz my heart sink everytime I see young kids with running nose, barefooted and starving come close to me and just paint a smile on their face. The capture of their faces is still fresh in my memory bank. We could only offer some biscuits that we bought along the way. The way they indulge the pieces was so heartwarming. It feels like how we manage to eat KFC 25 years ago.
It's a Deep feelingBut I manage to bring back all this priceless moment and keep it safe on my mind. I retrieve what I deserve to have on that hills of Sapa. And I’m glad that I have the chance to feel it.

Lata meraung Waterfall...massive enjoyment

On 2nd day of CNY, it was humid and hot...ding! Everyone shouted...Waterfall!!!! This is the 2nd time we went there. Its in Jerantut, Pahang. You have to 1st go to Jerantut town, then pass by the orang asli settlement. The journey was slightly creepy as we passed by empty hut/ dilapidated houses, some rubber plantation, caught in between of dead cocoa tree and small narrow road. But trust me, the destination we are about to reach was pure heaven. We brought along some mandarin oranges /'kam' to give away to the orang asli kids. This time, all of us feel like the journey was slightly further with few changes on the surrounding but that give us some shocking encounter when a group of absent-minded mat rempits showing off their struts like bees and flies chasing for u. But luckily nothing unwanted scenario happen..so we continue until finally we saw the stairs. After 10-15 minutes walk uphill and passing by the mini jungle...we finally arrived to the gorgeous and magnificient Waterfall called Lata Meraung. It was massive enjoyment, the waterfall almost piercing our bones with delight, cold as 7up from the fridge, blurrrrrhhhhhhh....the Viva's escapade during 2nd day of CNY...was wicked and sinfully enjoyable ...muahahahah

It's Happy 'Niu' Year!

26-280109 Yipeee...was in hometown to celebrate the 'Niu' year. Started with a steamboat for reunion dinner on the eve. On 1st day of CNY, we headed to Elephant Santuary at Kuala gandah, Lanchang as our 1st destination. Due to long weekend holiday, the scene was packed with both local n foreigners. Some are there to swim with the elephants or even having the chance to have the ride of the day or just simply enjoy the company of that giant mammal. Entrance is free, however a small notes of donation will be great! Our next list was to Deerland. Entrance is RM5 per person. It's just 3/4km from the Elephant Santuary. The animals are quite tame here, so we take the opportunity to rub shoulder to shoulder in their kingdom called Deerland. u can even hug the sun bear...cool uh? There are albino hedgehog, sugar glider, snakes, peacock, rabbits and of course the Deer. It was actually managed by one of my dad's fren. So it's kinda cool to see most of their family members are the person in charge in every corner of the park. Just as we about to go home, our po po (grandma) called asking what time are we coming? hehehe...Once a year, most of my uncles and auntie will come down to visit po po. So that nite, the gathering of Chew's family did bring us back to memory lanes. After catching up with the rest followed by 'ang pow' collecting session, we head home and continue our makan session. It was eating galore since i came home...and not forgetting the gossip session with my crazy but lovable siblings..

Lion dancer mainly young boys at the opposite of our street. As they have stipulated schedule for every streets before performing. Apparently our street will be only on 5th day...hrmmmthe red carpet that i was talking about each time i come home...moly get it rolled...hahahathe paste for steamboat during our reunion dinnerprawn frittersyum yumthe rest of it was dipped it in..busy while eating, the fireworks started to roar that nightat lanchang, my siblings with see no evil, speak no evil and hear no evil...(L-R: ratha, anand, moly)Elephant Santuary, Kuala GandahWanna shower with the Elephant..yes you can...Baby elephant playing with the kidsWanna take a ride?Korean lil gal was crying-I want my mommy! the big tree (L-R:Moly, me, Ratha, Ronnie)

Things when pretty well at last went mak andam managed to pull it off within an hour and TENAGA finally did a good job on that day. happy faces of the couples are everywhere to be seen...

Nuraini & Nur Hisyam Solemnisation Ceremony

291108 Nuraini & Nur Hisyam solemnisation ceremony was held at Taman Bunga Raya Mosque. I was honoured to be appointed as their official photographer. while some funny moments and adrenalin rush that definately will be kept as fond memories. not only that the bride arrived late due to unforceen circumstances, we totally forgot about the tudung (headscarf) for me..yeah...gotta wear that when entering a mosque. luckily (nuraini's 8 years old sister, baby) lend it to me and quickly we got in before the ceremony started..hehehe.. And "seperti pinang dibelah dua"..here are some of the pictures. Congratulations! and Happy Married Life!

And there it was...

231108 Used to see this when i was in Italy especially in Venice. Men or even women clad in their best costume suit, painted themselves in colours and stand for hours in the best interest to have passers-by appreciate them by...well offering some "token" to them. and there it was...in Sg wang wallstreet...

I'm a Selfish Naturalist

I love nature at its best. Too much of modification could lead to self-destruction. And at the same time, less of it could cause non-development. Either way...its still very much rely on each individuals. I'm a selfish naturalist...so i love the way it is...the sprinkling dew, the warmth of the morning sun, the ooze of the fullmoon, the sound of the wave, the sweetness of wild honey, the laughter of happiness, the tears of emotion and the list could go on and on and on...
can't help it but to capture the beggaring description moment from my balcony. the depiction of the mountains was even bloody indescribable.

My 1st Photomarathon

011108 Berjaya Times Square (BTS), KL. As a contest freak, i indulged myself for a competition called Canon Photomarathon.:) Started early as 745am for registration. Next, briefing that was hardly clear to be heard (thanks for a proper leaflet of the R&R), Starting point at BTS, start snapping on the first theme- INDULGE METROPOLITION, next walked all the way to Pavilion to obtain our next clue which was MESS IN RULES. Final pit stop was KLCC which i received a small namecard sized card printed as GO GREEN. Ruby and his cousins, Darshan and Joshua came later in the afternoon as my supporters. yeayyyy....Met Brian (ex-fear factorian) during the competition as well. It was a cool experience for me and a lot more to learn.

Clear blue sky just like this boy's eyes.
